Day Light at GIAF

Eclipse at GIAF

Jun Ku Kang

Observing and experiencing people and nature has long been a fundamental concern for Jun Ku Kang. He uses these basic materials and integrates them with modern technology to approach rational coincidence and planned emotions. Jun Ku Kang focuses on nature, light, shadows, and movements. Kang Observes nature and uses these memories to construct a basic for his art. He then brings these observed memories into the three dimensional world and expresses a distinctive form of art. The key element in his Kinetic Sculptures such as Eclipse, Day Light, Daily Routine is subtle movements and shadow. His objects are not the finished art. Instead, he uses the light as his brush and the white wall as his canvas. The objects become the ingredients that form the shadows.
